Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, clear immigration, and meet your safari guide. Transfer to your hotel near Entebbe. In the afternoon you may opt for an optional city tour — visit landmarks, the botanic gardens, Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, or take a boat ride to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary (bookable locally). Accommodation: Protea Entebbe Hotel Meal Plan: BreakfastEarly start as you transfer to Entebbe Airport for your domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip. From Kisoro you’ll drive to the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to mountain gorillas. Enjoy forest views and possible Batwa community* encounters on arrival. Accommodation: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerAfter an early breakfast you’ll head into Bwindi Forest with experienced guides to trek for gorillas. Tracking can take several hours depending on sightings, but once located you’ll spend up to 1 hour observing these incredible primates in the wild. Return to your lodge to relax.
